Keegan, coming out of her bedroom where she had gone to get dressed, "I forgot I was already dressed until I looked down to see what pajama shirt I was wearing."
Hee, hee. Sounds like my mornings sometimes. Except I am more likely to forget I am still in my pajamas! ;-).

Cute Little Boy Quote ;)
Keegan and Kelsey love to play with little kids. We went to a McDonalds' playplace recently and there was an adorable little boy there, too. He said to Keegan, "Where are we going?" She answered, "We're playing up here." He said, "Ok, Pierre," ("up here" = "Pierre") then somehow switched from Keegan to Kelsey and proceeded to call Kelse "Pierre" the rest of the time we were there. It was so funny - "Hey, Pierre, come up here." "Look, Pierre!" "Pierre, let's climb this."
Kelsey probably enjoyed it more than anyone. It certainly made a routine tip to McDonald's much more fun :-)!

Kelsey Quote
When we go to dance, especially long rehearsals, we look like we are moving in. Each girl has a lunch box, a dance bag, and an entertainment bag for when she is waiting. Plus I bring a purse, camera bag, and an occasional project, so we make quite the procession. Getting it all back into the house is also a challenge. The other night I had a free hand so I offered to carry Kelsey's very heavy dance bag. She agreed saying, "Yes, please. It's a burden."

Keegy Math Quote
Keegan was learning about reciprocals in math - 2/3 is the reciprocal of 3/2, 2 is the reciprocal of 1/2, etc. I said something like, "to get the reciprocal of any number, you just flip it over."
In all seriousness she asked, "So is 6 the reciprocal of 9?"
HA - her question made more sense than my explanation!
Smart girl :-).

Me - Keegan, will you please tell Daddy that if he has the urge to bring another lamp in here, we could use it?
Kelsey - I sure hope Daddy has the urge.

Kelsey, getting dressed to go out in the snow, "It would be neat if there were McDonald's gloves that made your fingers look like french fries."
I had never thought of that :-).

Caitlyn, being quizzed on spelling bee words, after spelling the word "bruin," "If whoever is reading the words has a heavy twang, I will have to ask for a definition to make sure it's not 'brewing.' "

Bill, looking at Keegan's new almanac -I was just reading about Marco Polo and wondering if it would be interesting to read about him.
Caitlyn - Well, you just were. Was it?
Bwa, ha, ha. She is so my daughter!

On the phone -
"Daddy, there is a snake in the barn!"
"Probably 5 or 6 inches, maybe a foot stretched out."
"It looked like a miniature anaconda."
Hee, hee, so descriptive.
P.S. Our neighbor boy came and picked it up with 2 sticks, like chopsticks, put it in a box, and took it home :).

Me, as Keegan entered the room, "I like that shirt. It looks cute on you. I didn't remember it."
(We are generously given many hand-me-downs, so opening our out of season clothes boxes is like opening a present.)
Keegan, "I didn't remember it, either. I just opened my drawer and bang, there it was!"

Keegan and Kelsey Quote
A wonderful family we know is expecting their 7th child. Every child's name starts with the letter "K."
Kelsey said, "I wonder if they will run out of "K" names?"
Keegan answered, "I think they will run out of children before they run out of names."

We are reading Little Women, and Kelsey is quite interested in Jo's rambunctiousness. After reading, "'I wish I hadn't smashed my coral bracelet, for you might have had it,' said Jo," Kelsey noted, "That's not unlike Jo, to smash her coral bracelet."
I love her little observations of the world :).

Me, "Girls, how can we have so many dirty clothes?"
Kelsey, "Because we wear them all."
Me, "Well, why do we do that?"
Kelsey, "So we aren't inappropriate."
